The clip circulates online as a meme sound that pairs a stormtrooper-style voice with the formal wording of a severe thunderstorm warning, a combination that fits the habit of placing fictional characters into real-world announcements. Stormtroopers are instantly recognisable from Star Wars, so even a brief line in that filtered tone reads as official and slightly ridiculous at the same time. Weather editors, meme makers and streamers have kept it in rotation because it turns an ordinary forecast into a joke without needing any setup, and its short length makes it easy to drop into videos, streams and group chats.

A stormtrooper voice announces a severe thunderstorm warning in this short clip, ideal for weather memes, storm edits and dramatic alert moments online.
This six-second clip pairs the unmistakable filtered voice of a Star Wars stormtrooper with the urgent language of a severe thunderstorm warning, creating a strange mix of authority and absurdity. The delivery is clipped, robotic and official-sounding, as if a trooper has suddenly taken over the weather broadcast, and that contrast is what makes listeners stop and laugh. It works because the warning sounds serious while the speaker is clearly out of place, turning a routine storm alert into a punchline. Played over storm footage or a sudden plot twist, it instantly signals danger in a way that feels dramatic yet deliberately silly.
