Talking Ben comes from Talking Ben the Dog, a mobile app in the Talking Tom and Friends series where the grumpy retired chemistry professor repeats speech and reacts with short grunts and groans. Clips of Ben saying yes, no and ugh were ripped and shared on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and meme pages in the early 2020s, often as a one word reply to bad takes. The ugh variant stuck because it is shorter and more dismissive than a full sentence, making it easy to reuse as a reaction sound.

Talking Ben says ugh is a short voice clip of Ben the dog groaning in frustration from the Talking Ben app, used for annoyed reactions and fail moments.
This sound is Ben the talking dog letting out a drawn out ugh, a flat frustrated groan that sounds tired, fed up and completely unimpressed. It lasts just over a second, with no music or other noise behind the voice, so the annoyance lands instantly. Viewers read it as the reaction of someone who has heard something stupid, repetitive or disappointing one too many times. That clear, exaggerated sigh makes it work like a verbal eye roll, shutting down a moment without needing any explanation or extra dialogue.
