DarkSydePhil, real name Phil Burnell, built a long and divisive career posting playthroughs and livestreams, where his exaggerated reactions are clipped constantly by both fans and critics. The ack ack ack laugh became one of those recurring clips, shared as a shorthand for his on-stream persona rather than for anything said in a particular game. It spread through gaming forums, Discord servers and soundboards, and it survives because the rhythm alone signals a knowing, irritating laugh even to people who have never watched a full stream.

That distinctive ack ack ack laugh from streamer DarkSydePhil, clipped as a short meme sound people drop into gaming chats and edits for a smug reaction.
The clip is just DarkSydePhil, better known as DSP, doing his unmistakable ack ack ack laugh in rapid bursts. It is not quite speech and not quite a cackle, more like a smug, repetitive chortle that sounds deliberately annoying after the second repeat. Because the rhythm is so regular, the laugh reads instantly as mockery or self satisfied amusement even without any context. Viewers use it as a reaction in itself, letting the laugh comment on a fail, a bad take, or someone taking a game far too seriously.
