The Enderman is a tall, teleporting mob from Minecraft, the sandbox game created by Notch. Its unsettling vocalisations became instantly recognisable to players who learned to avoid looking directly at it, since eye contact provokes it. Clips of the scream spread through Minecraft gameplay videos, reaction edits and horror compilations, where it works as a compact jump scare scream. It remains popular because it needs no context to feel threatening, even for viewers who have never played the game.

The distorted scream of a Minecraft Enderman, heard when the mob is angered. Gamers and editors use it for jump scares, horror edits and tense gameplay moments.
The Enderman scream is a short, harsh burst of distorted, almost human-like shrieking layered with a deep, unsettling growl. In Minecraft it signals that the tall, dark mob has been provoked, turning a quiet night into a sudden threat. The sound feels warped and otherworldly, rising sharply before cutting off abruptly, which makes it feel more like a warning than a normal creature noise. For listeners it creates instant unease, a jolt of adrenaline and the sense that something dangerous is suddenly close by, even without seeing the mob on screen.
