Excellent became Wayne and Garth's signature catchphrase in Wayne's World, first developed as a Saturday Night Live sketch before becoming the 1992 film starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. In the film, the two friends say it together while wiggling their fingers to show approval, a gesture that quickly entered everyday slang. Clips of the moment circulated through reruns, compilations and later meme edits, keeping the phrase alive long after the film's release. It still works today because the delivery is short, upbeat and instantly understood as a stamp of approval.

The iconic Excellent sound from Wayne's World, used to celebrate a win, a great idea or a perfect moment in memes, reaction clips and videos online.
This short clip captures Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World delivering their famous Excellent catchphrase in unison, complete with the exaggerated finger wiggle energy that made the moment famous. The voices are enthusiastic and slightly goofy, rising together on the word Excellent before landing with a satisfied, knowing tone. It is instantly recognisable even without the picture, because the delivery is so specific to the two characters and their basement rock show world. Played over a reaction or a reveal, it turns a good moment into a shared joke, signalling approval, excitement and a little 1990s nostalgia all at once.
