Roses is one of the songs from Friday Night Funkin, the free rhythm game in which Boyfriend faces a series of musical opponents. It appears in Week 6, a level styled as a dating simulation where the pink-haired Senpai challenges Boyfriend, and its bright chiptune sound matches that retro visual theme. As the game grew through online playthroughs, fan animations and short-form videos, short clips of its catchiest tracks began circulating on soundboards. Roses endures because it is instantly recognisable to FNF fans and carries the playful, competitive energy of the Senpai battle in only a few seconds.

This short clip captures the bright, bouncy opening of Roses, the dating-sim inspired track from Friday Night Funkin where Boyfriend faces off against Senpai. It layers a chirpy chiptune melody over a steady rhythm-game beat, with Senpai's high, playful vocal line cutting through the synths. Even in just a few seconds, it instantly signals the pink, pixelated schoolyard world of Week 6, and for fans it triggers instant recognition, nostalgia and the urge to tap along. The sound feels cheerful, cheeky and slightly taunting, which makes it land as a lighthearted punchline rather than a dramatic sting.
