W.D. Gaster is a hidden, largely unseen figure from Undertale, Toby Fox's 2015 role-playing game, known mainly through scattered in-game references and fan theories rather than a normal appearance. Because he is so mysterious, fans have turned him into a popular meme subject, creating distorted voice clips and edits that play on his secretive reputation. The alphabet version leans into that contrast, pairing a childish sequence with a character associated with glitches and erased history. It continues to circulate in Undertale fan videos, reaction edits and short-form memes, where recognition of Gaster is itself part of the joke.

The W.D. Gaster ABC clip is an Undertale meme sound reciting the alphabet, often used in lore videos and funny edits for a creepy, mysterious effect.
This clip presents the mysterious Undertale character W.D. Gaster reciting the alphabet in a slow, distorted voice that feels both playful and unsettling. Each letter lands with a glitchy, echoing quality, as if it is coming through a broken recording, which makes the familiar ABC sequence sound strange rather than childish. Listeners recognise the joke immediately because the alphabet is so ordinary, yet Gaster's hidden, lore-heavy presence gives it a creepy undertone. It works best as a punchline, turning a simple learning moment into something eerie, funny and unmistakably tied to Undertale's secretive mythology.
