Kung Lao is a Shaolin monk fighter from the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in Mortal Kombat II in 1993 and returning in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Like other fighters, he got a dedicated win announcement spoken by the game's announcer when a match ended in his favour. As Mortal Kombat clips circulated in arcade rips, compilations and later short video edits, these short victory lines became reusable shorthand online. Fans now lift the Kung Lao version on its own to mark a clear, undisputed win.

The announcer declares Kung Lao Wins in this short clip from Mortal Kombat, used for victory moments, gaming edits and meme finishes in videos.
This is the Mortal Kombat announcer voice declaring Kung Lao the winner after a match ends. The delivery is deep, flat and unmistakably arcade, with each word given the same heavy weight as the classic victory announcements from the series. It lasts just over two seconds, which makes the line land like a final verdict rather than a celebration. For viewers it instantly signals that the fight is over and one side has completely dominated, even when the clip is placed over something small, silly or completely unrelated to actual combat at all.
