Mortis is one of the playable brawlers in Brawl Stars, known for dashing forward and striking with his shovel, so his sweep has become a recognisable audio cue for fans of the game. Short clips of the attack are commonly re-edited with altered pitch or timing, turning a normal combat sound into a joke that fits fast meme edits. Because the clip lasts less than a second, it is easy to drop into gameplay highlights, reaction videos and short-form edits, which has helped it stay useful long after the original gameplay moment.

A short, humorously altered Mortis sweep sound from Brawl Stars, used in meme edits and gaming clips to punctuate a quick shovel attack or a funny failed play.
The clip is a very short, snappy sweep built around Mortis's shovel attack in Brawl Stars, with its pitch and timing tweaked just enough to sound sillier than the in-game version. It opens with a quick whoosh, lands with a light, almost cartoonish hit, and ends before it can overstay its welcome. That brevity is the joke: the sound feels like a dramatic flourish followed by an anticlimax, so viewers instantly read it as a playful swipe rather than a serious attack. It works best as a punchline, turning an ordinary swing into something exaggerated, clumsy and funny.
