Old Gregg is a character played by Noel Fielding in the BBC comedy The Mighty Boosh, first appearing in the 2005 episode The Legend of Old Gregg. Half man and half fish, the lonely merman became one of the show's most quoted creations thanks to his odd manner and unsettling kindness. Clips of his lines circulated on forums, YouTube and soundboards long after the series ended, and this short yes sir reply survives as a quick way to sound eagerly obedient online.

Old Gregg saying yes sir thank ya sir from The Mighty Boosh, a short polite reply clip used for funny agreement, gratitude and awkward servant jokes online.
This is Old Gregg, the strange merman from The Mighty Boosh, delivering his eager line yes sir, thank ya sir in a soft, ingratiating voice. The delivery is overly polite and a little desperate, which makes a simple thank you sound hilariously subservient. The clip lasts under two seconds, so the joke lands instantly without any setup. Viewers recognise the creepy charm of the character straight away, and the contrast between the sweet tone and his unsettling presence turns an ordinary reply into a memorable, quotable reaction for chats and edits.
