The phrase comes from Lil B's 2012 track Swag Like Ohio, built around the repeated line about being down in Ohio. A decade later TikTok turned Ohio into shorthand for bizarre, impossible events, with only in Ohio captions, skull edits and exaggerated reactions. This ringtone version repackages that hook as a phone call sound, so creators can trigger the joke without using the full song. It is often paired with a vine boom sound for the reveal, which helped it circulate in short meme edits and soundboards.

A short ringtone built on the viral Swag Like Ohio hook, used for joke calls, weird reveals and cursed meme edits needing an absurd punchline.
This is a five second ringtone clip built around the Swag Like Ohio hook, turned into a bright, looping phone style tone. It sounds like an incoming call that is also a punchline, with a catchy melodic phrase that repeats just long enough to register before it cuts off. The joke lands because a normal ringtone suddenly carries the absurd Ohio meme energy, making an ordinary notification feel strange, cursed and funny. Viewers instantly read it as a setup for something weird about to happen off screen or in the next shot.
