Shikanoko Nokonoko comes from My Deer Friend Nokotan, a Japanese anime that premiered in 2024 about a former delinquent student whose quiet school life is disrupted by Nokotan, a cheerful girl with deer antlers. Its opening theme, built around the tongue-twisting title chant, spread quickly on TikTok and other short-form platforms, where users looped the catchy chorus over deer videos, dances and absurdist edits. The clip remains popular because the chant is instantly recognisable, easy to sing along to and perfectly suited to fast, chaotic meme humour.

The catchy Shikanoko Nokonoko chorus from the anime My Deer Friend Nokotan, used in viral deer edits, TikTok memes and funny brainrot videos.
This is the bouncy, singalong chorus from the opening of My Deer Friend Nokotan, built around the repeated chant of shikanoko nokonoko koshitantan over bright, upbeat pop instrumentation. The vocals are fast, cheerful and deliberately silly, with a melody that sticks after a single listen and a rhythm that feels made for looping. Played on its own it sounds like a burst of pure anime energy, instantly recognisable to fans of the viral deer meme and just absurd enough to make a normal clip feel chaotic, playful and impossible to ignore.
