Steve's Lava Chicken comes from A Minecraft Movie, the 2025 live-action film based on the game, where Jack Black plays Steve. WaterTower Music released it as part of the film soundtrack, and its lyric video helped the short, catchy song spread quickly through Minecraft fan edits and short-form videos. Fans also pair it with Minecraft damage sounds in edits. Its appeal has lasted because the song is both a genuine in-film moment and a ready-made meme, with a simple hook that works even for viewers who have not seen the film.

Jack Black sings Steve's Lava Chicken from A Minecraft Movie, a catchy rock-style cooking song fans use in Minecraft edits and cooking memes.
This clip captures Jack Black as Steve belting out a short, upbeat rock number about cooking a chicken with lava in A Minecraft Movie. His voice swings between playful bragging and gleeful shouting, backed by driving guitars and a simple, chantable chorus that sticks after one listen. The humour comes from how seriously Steve treats an absurd recipe, turning molten lava into a kitchen tool and a farmyard bird into a feast. It feels loud, silly and instantly quotable, which makes it work as a burst of energy in a video rather than background music.
