Saddam Hussein was the former president of Iraq, and his capture in December 2003 was a major international news event that many viewers still recognise from television coverage. This short soundboard clip does not retell that full story; it isolates the moment of discovery and stops at the unresolved but, which is why it works so well online. Shared as a brief reaction sound, it lets creators borrow the gravity of a historic announcement and then undercut it with an ordinary or absurd payoff.

A short voice clip announcing Saddam Hussein was found, cut off just before the twist. It works as a dramatic pause or bait-and-switch joke in short videos.
The clip is a brief spoken announcement that Saddam Hussein has been found, delivered in a flat, news-report tone and then stopped abruptly at the word but, leaving the sentence unfinished. That sudden cut is the whole joke: the listener expects an important detail, a location, or a consequence, and instead gets silence. Played over a reaction shot, a reveal, or a mundane discovery, it turns an ordinary moment into something that feels far bigger and more urgent than it is. The serious delivery makes the anticlimax land harder, especially when the visual payoff is deliberately small.
