Dayshift at Freddy's is a fan made parody series based on Five Nights at Freddy's, where Dave Miller works alongside the player and repeatedly calls them old sport. The greeting became his catchphrase across the games and spread through gameplay clips, fan art and meme edits in the FNaF community, often paired with the FNAF Jumpscare Scream for contrast. Because Dave mixes friendliness with menace, fans kept quoting the line outside the game, using it whenever a cheerful hello is meant to sound suspicious or playfully threatening.

Dave Miller saying why hello there old sport from Dayshift at Freddy's, a short voice line used for creepy greetings, memes and reaction edits.
This is Dave Miller's signature greeting from Dayshift at Freddy's, delivered in a smooth, unsettlingly cheerful voice. He says why hello there, old sport with a slow, friendly drawl that sounds polite on the surface but carries a sinister undertone because of who is speaking. The line feels both welcoming and threatening at once, which is why it lands so well as a punchline. Listeners instantly recognise the false charm and the lurking danger behind it, making a simple hello feel like the start of something very wrong.
