The exact origin of this clip is unclear, and it appears to have surfaced as a user-uploaded greeting rather than a line from a known show or film. The existing notes describe it simply as a 'wow hai murphy' moment, which matches the audio: a spontaneous, affectionate hello that caught on because it is endlessly reusable. Online it circulates as a lighthearted meme greeting, most often attached to videos of dogs and pets named Murphy, and it sits naturally beside other cheerful exclamations and surprised greetings that creators use for wholesome reveal edits.
