Dr Evil, played by Mike Myers, is the villain of the Austin Powers spy comedy films, which began in 1997 with Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. His zip it exchange with son Scott became one of his most quoted bits, built from a simple shush stretched into absurd repetition. Online the audio was clipped for soundboards and meme edits, where zip it good, a play on Devo's Whip It, gives editors a clean final beat. It remains popular as a reaction for silencing rants, spoilers and backchat.

Dr Evil saying zip it from Austin Powers, the shushing rant used as a meme sound effect to tell someone to be quiet in edits and reactions online.
This is Dr Evil cutting off his son Scott in Austin Powers, snapping zip it over and over before anyone can finish a sentence. The delivery gets faster and more ridiculous each time, turning a simple order to be quiet into a full shushing routine with zip it good as the punchline. It is short, sharp and instantly recognisable, even without the picture. Played over an argument or an unwanted explanation, it makes the speaker sound petty, controlling and funny at the same time, which is why the clip lands as both a shutdown and a joke.
