Monster was released in 2009 on Awake, the seventh studio album by American rock band Skillet, and quickly became one of the group's signature songs. Its lyrics describe an inner struggle taking over, a theme that matched its growling delivery and heavy production. The track spread beyond rock radio into wrestling, sports highlights and video game culture, then found a second life online as a short edit sound. Its opening energy is now used as shorthand for unleashing power, danger or a darker side.

A short clip of Monster by Skillet, the hard rock hit used for intense reveals, edits, transformations and powerful character introductions online.
This is a brief excerpt from Monster by Skillet, built around the song's heavy guitars, pounding drums and raw, growling vocal energy. Even in under two seconds the clip feels aggressive and dramatic, like something powerful is breaking loose. Creators use that instant surge of intensity to underline a transformation, a villain entrance or a moment when a character stops holding back. The familiar rock hook is recognisable to fans of the band and to viewers who have heard the track in countless edits, trailers and gaming montages over the years.
