Old Gregg is the merman character from the British comedy series The Mighty Boosh, played by Noel Fielding, who lives in a cave and becomes infatuated with Howard Moon. His love of Baileys became one of his most quoted traits, repeated by fans long after the episode aired and shared again in short clips and soundboards. The line works because it condenses the character into a single odd habit, giving creators a quick way to signal surreal British humour without needing any context from the full story.

The Old Gregg drank Baileys sound effect from The Mighty Boosh, with the merman character and his favourite creamy drink. Perfect for funny drinking clips.
This one-and-a-half-second clip captures a moment from the world of Old Gregg, the merman from The Mighty Boosh, centred on his famous fondness for Baileys. The voice is theatrical and slightly slurred, delivered with the character's sing-song swagger, making the short line land like a punchline rather than a simple statement. Because it is so brief and instantly recognisable to fans, it works as a comic beat, turning a sip, toast or night out into something absurd and memorable. Even listeners who have never seen the show can feel the tipsy energy in the delivery, which is why the clip feels cheeky and surreal.
