Skeletor is the skeletal villain of Masters of the Universe, the franchise that began as a toy line before becoming the animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in the 1980s. His exaggerated laugh became one of his most recognisable traits, instantly signalling arrogance, scheming and comic villainy. As short clips and soundboards spread online, the laugh was lifted from its cartoon context and reused as a standalone reaction. It endures because it needs no explanation: a few seconds of gleeful cackling immediately tells viewers that someone thinks they have won.

Skeletor's maniacal laugh from Masters of the Universe, used as a villain reaction sound for memes and gaming edits when an evil plan comes together.
This short clip captures Skeletor breaking into his unmistakable high-pitched, wheezing laugh, starting with a sharp intake and rising into a rapid, mocking 'eheyyehahahaha' that sounds both gleeful and menacing. The voice is theatrical and cartoonish, with a raspy edge that makes the gloating feel larger than life rather than genuinely frightening. It lasts just a few seconds, but the exaggerated rhythm and sudden bursts of laughter give it an instantly recognisable punch. Listeners hear pure villainous triumph, the sound of a bad guy who believes his scheme has finally worked, which makes it perfect for undercutting a moment with comic arrogance.
