Tema da Vitória was composed by Eduardo Souto Neto and adopted by TV Globo for its Formula 1 coverage in the early 1980s, to be played after a Brazilian driver won a race. It became inseparable from Ayrton Senna during his title winning years, when the fanfare followed his victories on Brazilian television. After Senna, it was also heard for wins by Rubens Barrichello and Felipe Massa. Online, the short version survives as an instant shorthand for triumph, nostalgia and over the top celebration.

The short Tema da Vitória fanfare from Brazilian Formula 1 broadcasts, the triumphant victory theme linked to Ayrton Senna and used to celebrate wins.
This is the very short cut of the Tema da Vitória, a bright brass fanfare instantly recognised in Brazil as the sound of winning. In less than a second it delivers the opening triumphant blast, with bold horns rising in a celebratory, almost ceremonial way. The clip is too brief for a full build up, which is exactly why it works as a punchline. It turns an ordinary moment into a mock grand victory, making a small success feel heroic, nostalgic and funny at the same time for anyone who grew up hearing it after a race.
