The line comes from Bad Boys II, the 2003 action comedy sequel starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The short clip was later shared on soundboards, where users could play and download short movie quotes for reactions and jokes. Its appeal comes from the contrast between a serious action film and a simple, enthusiastic compliment, which made it easy to reuse outside the original scene. Over time it became a familiar reaction sound for impressive reveals, especially involving animals, catches and other unexpected finds.

From Bad Boys II, this clip captures a character admiring a fish with over-the-top enthusiasm, often used in memes as a reaction to something impressive.
The clip is a short burst of movie dialogue delivered with loud, playful admiration, as the speaker stretches out the word nice while reacting to a fish. The tone is enthusiastic and slightly absurd, which makes the praise feel bigger than the subject deserves. That mismatch is the joke: a routine moment is treated like a major discovery. Listeners usually smile at the sudden energy and the confident delivery, and the line lands quickly because it is short, clear and easy to quote. It works best as a punchline, turning an ordinary reveal into a moment of exaggerated approval.
