U Can't Touch This was released by MC Hammer in 1990 as the lead single from Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em, built around a sample of Rick James's Super Freak. The song became a global pop hit and a defining dance track of the early 1990s, helped by Hammer's energetic performances and its instantly quotable chorus. Decades later, the hook lives on in short videos, edits and reaction clips, where its confident, swaggering tone turns an ordinary entrance or boast into a joke everyone recognises.

The iconic 'U Can't Touch This' hook from MC Hammer's 1990 hit, used as a punchline sound when someone shows off or claims something is untouchable.
This clip captures the instantly recognisable chorus of MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This, driven by a funky bass riff, sharp synth stabs and Hammer's confident, rhythmic delivery of the title line. The beat feels swaggering and playful rather than aggressive, with a bouncy groove that makes any entrance feel larger than life. Played over a video, it instantly signals that the person on screen thinks they are unstoppable, untouchable or simply too cool to be caught. That mix of nostalgia, confidence and humour is why it still lands as a punchline decades after its release.
