Whoomp! (There It Is) was released in 1993 by American hip hop duo Tag Team and became one of the decade's most recognisable party anthems, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Its simple chant and heavy bass made it a fixture at sporting events, celebrations and dance floors throughout the 1990s. The hook later lived on through films, commercials and sports broadcasts, and short clips of it now circulate widely in memes and short-form videos, where the familiar shout instantly signals a win, a reveal or a moment worth celebrating.

The iconic Whoomp There It Is hook from Tag Team's 1993 hit, a short energetic shout used for big reveals, wins and funny moments in memes and videos.
This is the punchy title hook from Tag Team's party anthem Whoomp! (There It Is), delivered as a loud, rhythmic group shout over a driving bass beat. In just over a second and a half, the voices hit hard on the word Whoomp before landing on the playful payoff, There it is, creating an instant burst of celebration. The clip sounds bold, bouncy and instantly familiar, like a crowd erupting at exactly the right moment. It works because listeners already know the song, so the short shout alone triggers excitement, recognition and a sense of triumph without needing any extra context.
