Wayne's World began as a Saturday Night Live sketch starring Mike Myers as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, before becoming the hit 1992 film of the same name. Their shared cry of excellent became one of the show's most imitated catchphrases, often delivered with a distinctive finger gesture and a knowing grin. Decades later, the short exclamation still circulates in reaction videos, edits and memes because it instantly reads as enthusiastic approval, whether the joke is sincere, sarcastic or simply nostalgic for early nineties comedy.
Over dit geluid
The enthusiastic 'Excellent' catchphrase from Wayne's World, used by creators to celebrate a win, a good idea or a perfectly timed joke in reaction videos.
The clip captures Wayne and Garth delivering their signature word in unison, stretching the first syllable before landing on a bright, triumphant second beat. Their voices are high, eager and slightly goofy, with a shared laugh bubbling underneath that makes the moment feel like an inside joke between friends. Played over a reveal, a successful guess or an unexpectedly good result, it instantly signals approval without needing any explanation. The short length keeps the energy punchy, so the listener feels the same rush of excitement the characters do, as if they have just stumbled onto something brilliant.
