Guts is the central swordsman of Berserk, a dark fantasy manga and anime series known for its brutal battles and bleak world. His theme has become shorthand online for resilience and grim determination, largely because fans recognise it instantly from the series. It spread through anime edits, gaming montages and short-form videos, where a few seconds are enough to signal that a serious fight is coming. It remains popular because it sets a heavy mood without needing dialogue or explanation.

A short clip of the Guts theme from Berserk, with its dark, driving melody that builds tension for dramatic entrances and intense anime edits.
This short clip captures the brooding instrumental theme associated with Guts, the lone swordsman at the centre of Berserk. Low strings and a steady, pounding rhythm give it a heavy, almost relentless feel, while the melody rises just enough to suggest a fight that cannot be avoided. Even in only a few seconds, it carries a sense of grim determination and looming danger, making a scene feel larger and more serious than it first appeared. It works because listeners already associate that sound with endurance, loss and a character who keeps moving forward no matter how brutal the battle becomes.
