Heart on Ice is a song by American rapper and singer Rod Wave, released in 2019 and later included on his debut studio album Ghetto Gospel. Built on a soft piano sample and his melodic, confessional delivery, it became one of his breakout tracks and a staple of emotional rap. The song spread widely through streaming and short-form video, where creators clipped its hook for sad edits and storytimes. Its lasting appeal comes from that direct, vulnerable tone, which still fits heartbreak, reflection and late-night mood videos today.
Over dit geluid
Rod Wave's Heart on Ice clip features his emotional rap vocals over a soft piano melody. Creators use it for sad edits, breakup videos and TikTok moments.
This clip captures the most recognisable part of Rod Wave's Heart on Ice, a slow, melancholic rap performance built around a gentle piano line and his strained, heartfelt delivery. The vocals feel raw and vulnerable, moving between singing and rapping as he reflects on pain, loyalty and a frozen heart. The mood is quiet and heavy rather than loud, which makes the sound land with real emotional weight. It works instantly as a soundtrack for sadness, longing or reflection, giving a short video a serious, soulful tone without needing any explanation.
