The 'gumpin it' clip grew as a TikTok audio trend, where creators boosted a hype shout into an extra-loud meme version built for chaotic edits. Its exact origin is unclear, but the loud mix follows a familiar pattern on short-form video: take a funny voice line, crank the volume, and drop it on fails, stunts and reaction clips. It sits alongside other loud reaction memes like aughhhh tiktok, thriving because the sudden volume spike guarantees a laugh even when the joke itself is simple.
