Over the Horizon is Samsung's long-running signature ringtone, remade in a new style each year for its Galaxy phones, and the 2017 version was the edition shipped as the default tune that year. Its bright, melodic arrangement made it easy to recognise and widely shared as a ringtone and notification sound, long after newer Galaxy models moved to later versions. Because it was heard on millions of phones, the 2017 melody remains popular for nostalgia, tech videos and Samsung-themed edits, keeping a familiar corporate jingle alive as an everyday sound.
Over dit geluid
Samsung's 2017 Over the Horizon ringtone, a bright and uplifting melody that became the signature tune for Galaxy phones and is still used as a ringtone today.
Over the Horizon 2017 is Samsung's bright, orchestral ringtone, built around a clear, rising piano and string melody that feels optimistic and polished rather than loud or intrusive. The tune starts gently, builds with warm harmonies and a memorable rising phrase, then resolves cleanly, giving it the familiar feel of a phone ringing in a shop, office or video. For listeners, it instantly signals a Samsung Galaxy device and carries a calm, premium impression, which is why it works so well as a recognisable notification, intro or nostalgic sound cue.
