Over dit geluid

This is a 1.6-second Team Fortress 2 voice line in which the Spy calmly announces himself in a thick French accent, saying 'I am ze spy.' The delivery feels smug and mischievous, like a joke shared just before a backstab, and it lands instantly because listeners recognise the disguise-master character at once. It comes from Valve's 2007 class-based shooter Team Fortress 2, where the Spy specialises in disguises and attacks.

Pro-tip

Time it to the exact frame where the disguise drops, because the line only works when the reveal is already visible and the audience realises the Spy was there all along.

Goed om te weten

Put it at the end of a reveal sequence, after Enemy Spotted sets up the danger and just before the ambush lands, so the confession becomes the punchline. Follow it with The Bomb Has Been Planted for a shooter montage that keeps the tension moving from discovery to action.
