Phonk grew out of 1990s Memphis rap and was revived online in the 2010s, later splitting into drift phonk with cowbells, distorted samples and heavy bass for car and edit culture. In the 2020s, TikTok paired that sound with aura, slang for cool confidence and presence, and short phonk loops became shorthand for powerful entrances and edits. This track follows that template, which is why it spreads through reposts and soundboards rather than through a credited single release, and why creators reuse it for gym, anime and gaming montages.
