The Magnus Archives is a British horror fiction podcast by Rusty Quill that ran from 2016 to 2021 across five seasons. The show follows Jonathan Sims, the Archivist of the fictional Magnus Institute in London, as he records statements of paranormal encounters that slowly reveal a terrifying larger story. Its deliberate narration and eerie tape-recorder atmosphere made short clips of it popular fan material, and creators often pair it with a horror scream for jump-scare edits.

This is a short audio excerpt from The Magnus Archives, the cult horror podcast by Rusty Quill, capturing the show's signature unsettling atmosphere. You hear the slow, deliberate delivery that fans instantly recognise, layered over the faint crackle of an old tape recording. It carries the weight of a statement being read aloud in the archive's dusty office, equal parts calm and menacing. Creators drop it into videos the moment they want a chill down the spine, because even ten seconds of that tone tells the audience something paranormal is about to be revealed.
