Vem aqui marimbondo is a short Brazilian Portuguese phrase that has circulated online as a humorous meme sound, with marimbondo the Portuguese word for a large wasp. Its comedy comes from the contrast between the calm invitation and the danger of calling a stinging insect closer, a reversal that fits pranks, dares, and exaggerated reactions. Portuguese-speaking creators reuse the five-second clip as a reusable punchline in short videos, edits, and soundboards, where its familiar wording needs no explanation. That instant recognition keeps it useful for quick jokes about tempting fate.

A short Portuguese voice clip saying vem aqui marimbondo, meaning come here wasp, used in Brazilian memes and reaction videos to tease someone in trouble.
The clip is a spoken phrase in Brazilian Portuguese, delivered in a playful, beckoning tone as if calling a wasp closer instead of running away. The voice is clear and close to the microphone, with a rising, teasing rhythm that makes the invitation sound both daring and funny. Because the words are simple and recognisable to Portuguese speakers, the humour lands immediately, even before any visual context. It creates a sense of mischievous anticipation, as though something unpredictable is about to arrive, and it works best when the listener expects a prank, a scare, or an overconfident character getting more than they bargained for.
