Short disgust quotes like this spread on soundboards and in meme edits because they are instantly quotable and need no context to understand. The phrasing feels old fashioned and overly dramatic, which makes it easy to reuse for modern jokes about selfies, makeovers, costumes and bad reveals. Creators lift the single line for reaction videos, gaming lobbies and group chats, where it functions as a pretend horrified response rather than a real insult. Its brevity keeps it reusable, and the clear enunciation means it still reads clearly even over busy gameplay or noisy background footage in edits.
Over dit geluid
The 'your face, it sickens me' sound is a disgusted voice line used as a meme reaction for insults, roast edits and over-the-top rejection jokes.
This clip is a short, deadpan insult delivered with theatrical disgust, built around the line your face, it sickens me. The speaker stretches the contempt just enough to make it feel melodramatic rather than genuinely mean, which is why it lands as comedy. The flat, revolted tone turns a simple face reveal or an awkward entrance into an instant punchline. It works best when the visual is harmless or proud of itself, because the mismatch between the innocent moment and the horrified verbal reaction creates the joke without needing any extra explanation or setup from the editor at all.
