The line comes from Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction, during the basement sequence in which Butch and Marsellus Wallace are held captive and a masked figure known as the Gimp is summoned from a locked box. The scene became one of the film's most quoted and unsettling moments, and the line circulated widely through quote compilations, reaction videos and soundboards long after the film's release. Creators still use it because it instantly evokes that specific scene, giving an ordinary edit a sudden shift toward dark, absurd menace without needing any visual explanation.
