Anguirus debuted in Godzilla Raids Again in 1955 as the second kaiju in Toho's Godzilla series, an ankylosaurus-like monster covered in spikes who first fought Godzilla in Osaka. He later returned in several Showa era films and became known as one of Godzilla's most loyal allies, appearing in Destroy All Monsters and Godzilla vs. Gigan. His distinctive raspy roar helped set the sound language for Toho monsters, and clips of it still circulate in kaiju edits, fan films and soundboards.

Anguirus kaiju roar from the Godzilla franchise, a deep guttural monster growl used for monster entrances, battles and giant creature reveals in edits.
This is the roar of Anguirus, the spiky quadrupedal kaiju from the Godzilla series, built from a low, raspy growl that rumbles and breaks into a harsh screech. The sound is aggressive but unmistakably monstrous, with a throaty texture that feels like a giant animal warning something away from its territory. At just a few seconds long it lands instantly, making a character, pet or vehicle feel huge and dangerous the moment it plays. Editors use that contrast for comedy as well as for genuine monster entrances and fight build-ups.
