At Doom's Gate is the music track for E1M1, the opening level of the original Doom released by id Software in 1993. Composed by Bobby Prince, it became one of the most recognizable pieces of game music from the 1990s. The theme spread far beyond the game through gameplay videos, remixes, memes and retrospectives about PC shooters. It is still widely used because a few seconds of the riff immediately signal classic Doom, fast action and retro FPS culture.
