The banana song comes from Despicable Me 2 (2013), where the Minions perform a playful, gibberish-filled musical number built around the word banana. Their repeated ba-ba-ba and na-na-na chanting turned the scene into an instantly quotable movie moment, and short clips of it spread widely through video edits, memes and reaction posts. Fans kept reusing it because the tune is catchy even without real lyrics, and the Minions' cheerful chaos translates across languages. It remains a go-to sound for light, absurd comedy.

This clip captures the Minions performing their banana song from Despicable Me 2, a fast, bouncy chant built almost entirely from repeated ba-ba-ba and na-na-na syllables, silly vowels and gleeful Minion gibberish. The voices are high-pitched, cartoonish and slightly chaotic, with the group singing together in overlapping bursts that sound both musical and mischievous. It feels instantly silly and energetic, like a playground chant crossed with a movie musical number. Listeners usually smile or laugh before the words even register, because the rhythm and nonsense delivery carry the joke on their own.
