Broly is a Saiyan warrior from the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama, first appearing in the 1993 film Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan and later reintroduced in the 2018 film Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Known for his overwhelming power and rage, he became one of anime's most iconic villains. The word 'desu' is simply the Japanese copula meaning 'it is,' so the clip is a plain self-introduction. Short character name-drop clips like this circulate widely on soundboards and in anime meme edits, where the deadpan announcement format makes even a two-second line instantly usable as a joke.

Broly introduces himself with a short Japanese voice line from Dragon Ball. Fans use this two-second 'Broly desu' clip for anime edits, memes and intro gags.
This two-second clip is a short Japanese voice line in which a voice says 'Broly desu,' meaning 'It's Broly' or 'This is Broly.' The delivery is a flat, direct self-introduction, the kind of deadpan announcement that instantly reads as an anime character name-drop. Because Broly is one of Dragon Ball's most famous powerhouses, hearing his name announced carries a jolt of over-the-top energy, even in just two seconds. Creators use it as a punchline or a hype cue, letting the simple introduction land like a dramatic entrance before the joke or edit that follows.
