The Victory Fanfare first appeared in the original Final Fantasy in 1987, composed by Nobuo Uematsu, and returned in almost every main entry including Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII. Its short brass arrangement became one of gaming's most recognisable reward cues, quoted in remixes, orchestral medleys and fan covers for decades. As gaming clips spread on YouTube, TikTok and soundboards, the fanfare escaped its JRPG roots and became a universal internet shorthand for winning, levelling up or beating the odds.
