Mettaton is a robot entertainer created by Alphys in Undertale, the 2015 role playing game by Toby Fox. He first appears as a boxy television host before revealing his humanoid EX form during the encounter in the CORE and Hotland storyline. The arms and legs line became one of his most quoted moments, shared in fan edits, remixes and soundboards because it sums up his vain, performance driven personality in a single boast that fans instantly recognise out of context.

Mettaton's 'who needs arms' line from Undertale, the robotic star showing off his legs in his EX form. Used for confident reveals and meme edits.
This clip captures Mettaton in full showman mode during his transformation into Mettaton EX in Undertale. The line is delivered with theatrical confidence in his metallic, flamboyant voice as he dismisses arms entirely and draws all attention to his newly revealed legs. It sounds smug, glamorous and deliberately over the top, turning a simple character reveal into a stage performance. The humour comes from the absolute certainty in his delivery, making the moment feel like both a fashion debut and a boss fight introduction at once.
