O tym dźwięku

The Pingas Mario SMG4 sound is a short voice clip from the series where he yells the word loudly, used by fans for random memes and reaction edits online today.

This is a very short, loud shout of the word pingas delivered in Mario's SMG4 voice, stretched into a silly, distorted punchline. The clip lasts just over a second, so the joke lands instantly with no setup, which makes the randomness the whole effect. Viewers recognise it as classic SMG4 humour where a familiar Nintendo character says something completely out of place. The abrupt delivery makes a normal scene feel derailed, and the contrast between Mario's cheerful voice and the crude word is what makes people replay it.

Profesjonalna wskazówka

Place the shout right on a hard cut or zoom-in on Mario's face and let the audio peak for comic shock. Pair it with a freeze frame and silence afterwards, and avoid layering music underneath or the single word gets lost.

Więcej informacji

SMG4 is an Australian animated web series created by Luke Lerdwichagul that re-edits Mario characters into chaotic comedy sketches. The pingas joke predates the series and comes from YouTube Poop culture, where a line by Dr Robotnik in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was misheard and repeated as a catch-all rude word. SMG4 adopted the running gag for its Mario, turning it into a signature random shout fans instantly associate with the channel's early meme humour and still quote in edits today.

The sound is a one-second clip of SMG4's Mario shouting the word pingas in his exaggerated voice. It is used as a sudden, random punchline in fan edits, meme videos and reaction posts where the joke is the interruption itself.

Where does the word pingas come from?

Pingas began as a YouTube Poop meme based on Dr Robotnik in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, whose line was clipped and misheard by fans. SMG4 later reused the word as a running gag for Mario in his comedy videos.

How do creators use this sound?

Creators drop it on a cut, zoom or freeze frame to break a scene with a loud, silly shout. It works best alone without music, kept short, and placed where viewers least expect Mario to say something rude.
