The clip comes from SpongeBob: Creature from the Krusty Krab, the 2006 SpongeBob SquarePants video game where Plankton features as a playable villain character. In the SpongeBob series Plankton is the owner of the Chum Bucket and constant rival to Mr. Krabs, always scheming to steal the Krabby Patty formula. His eye laser fits that inventor-villain role and gave game players a short, punchy effect to rip and reuse. Online it spread as a soundboard clip for cartoon battles, meme edits and reaction videos built around sudden attacks.

The Plankton eye laser sound effect from SpongeBob: Creature from the Krusty Krab is a sharp sci-fi beam blast used for jokes and cartoon villain edits.
The sound is a high-pitched electronic laser zap tied to Plankton, the tiny villain from SpongeBob SquarePants, firing a beam from his single eye. It starts with a tight charging whine and snaps into a bright, buzzing blast that cuts off cleanly, like a cartoon ray gun. Because the effect is short and instantly absurd, it lands as a visual punchline, making a small character feel suddenly dangerous and overpowered. The contrast between Plankton's size and the aggressive sci-fi tone is what makes the moment funny and memorable in edits.
