Step Brothers is a 2008 comedy film directed by Adam McKay, starring Will Ferrell as Brennan Huff and John C. Reilly as Dale Doback, two unemployed, immature men forced to live together when their single parents marry. Their insistence that they are men became a shorthand online for man child behaviour, because the characters claim adult status while fighting, drumming and bunk bed building like children. The clip spread through quote edits and reaction videos and remains popular for ironic adulting jokes.
O tym dźwięku
Clip from Step Brothers where Brennan and Dale declare we are men, used for funny coming of age fails, man child moments and ironic grown up edits.
This is the earnest declaration from Step Brothers in which Brennan Huff and Dale Doback insist they are grown men despite living like overgrown kids at home. The delivery is loud, proud and completely unconvincing, which is exactly the joke. Their childish confidence crashes against how immature they still act, making the line land as instant irony. Played over someone attempting a serious adult task and failing, it turns bravado into comedy and lets the audience feel both the characters' pride and everyone else's disbelief at once.
