The line comes from Wayne's World, the 1992 comedy film based on the Saturday Night Live sketch created by Mike Myers, starring Myers as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar. In a famous backstage scene the pair meet rock singer Alice Cooper and drop to their knees, chanting 'We're not worthy!' again and again. The moment became one of the film's most quoted jokes, later circulating as a reaction clip, meme and soundboard sound for exaggerated admiration. It endures because the phrase is short, instantly recognisable and perfect for mock worship of anyone impressive.

Wayne and Garth kneel and chant 'We're not worthy!' in Wayne's World (1992). Use this sound effect for fan reactions, idol moments and playful tributes.
This short clip captures Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar dropping to their knees and chanting 'We're not worthy!' in unison, their voices rising with exaggerated reverence and comic desperation. The delivery is fast, rhythmic and worshipful, with both characters repeating the phrase as if they cannot believe who stands before them. It instantly signals awe taken to a ridiculous extreme, turning admiration into a joke that everyone recognises. Played over a video, it makes the subject feel legendary while keeping the tone light, silly and affectionate rather than serious.
