The joke works because it twists Fred Flintstone's famous yabba dabba doo, the celebratory shout from the long-running Hanna-Barbera cartoon The Flintstones, into a flat refusal. Family Guy later reused that familiar cartoon language for its own brand of animated comedy, and the reversed line caught on as a short, shareable clip. On soundboards and in short-form videos it survives because the reference is instantly recognisable and the meaning needs no explanation: it is simply a loud, funny way to say no.
