Ali-A, real name Alastair Aiken, is a British YouTuber known for Call of Duty and Fortnite videos whose over the top intro became one of gaming YouTube's most parodied openings in the 2010s. Short remakes swapping the original production for cheap instruments spread on YouTube and TikTok, with flute and recorder versions becoming favourites because the contrast is instantly clear even without visuals. The clip stays popular as a shorthand for mock hype and nostalgic gaming culture.

A recorder flute cover of the Ali-A intro theme, the famous YouTube gaming intro turned meme that creators use for fake epic reveals and joke openings.
This is the Ali-A intro theme reimagined on flute, with the familiar dramatic electronic build replaced by wobbly, breathy notes that sound more like a school recorder lesson. The melody is instantly recognisable to anyone who watched Fortnite videos in the late 2010s, but the shaky timing and squeaky high notes turn the hype moment into a joke. Instead of building excitement, it undercuts it, which is exactly why viewers laugh when it appears before something completely ordinary or low effort.
