Astronomia was released by Russian producer Tony Igy in 2010 and later gained wider attention through a 2014 remix. It found a second life in 2020 when videos of Ghanaian dancing pallbearers carrying a coffin spread online, usually edited so a fail clip cuts to the funeral procession as the beat starts. The pairing turned the track into shorthand for a doomed outcome, and the sound kept circulating on meme pages and short video platforms long after the original viral wave.

Astronomia by Tony Igy is the electronic track behind the Coffin Dance meme, used for funny fails, awkward endings and punchline reveals online.
This is a short clip of Astronomia, the pulsing electronic instrumental by Tony Igy that became inseparable from the Coffin Dance meme. Synths build with a steady, dramatic beat that feels serious at first, then instantly reads as comic because viewers know what is coming. The contrast between the solemn coffin-carrying image and the energetic track makes an ordinary mistake feel like a final, unavoidable ending. Even without the video, the opening notes signal a fail, a bad decision, or a moment that is about to go completely wrong.
