The clip circulated on TikTok as part of the chicken on tree screaming format, where a still image of a chicken perched above the ground is paired with an abrupt, distorted yell. It is closely linked in searches to the Faaah sound, another stretched scream used the same way in short edits and phonk remixes. As reposts spread, the audio was separated from the original image and reused on its own for reaction videos, gaming moments and animal clips, which is why the scream alone now signals a joke.

Chicken on tree screaming is a short TikTok meme yell paired with phonk, used for sudden shock, funny fails and over the top reaction video edits.
This is a very short, loud scream built around the chicken on a tree meme image, stretched into a harsh AUUGHHH yell. The voice cracks and distorts as it peaks, giving it a panicked, cartoonish edge that feels bigger than the half second it lasts. Editors use that burst to turn a normal moment into an exaggerated reaction, as if something tiny has just caused total chaos. It lands best when the picture freezes or zooms at the same instant, letting the scream do all the comic work.
