Vera Verão is a flamboyant Brazilian comedy character created by actor and comedian Jorge Lafond for 1990s Brazilian television, where her larger-than-life personality and catchphrases made her a household favourite. The exclamation Epaaa works as a cheeky hello or surprised interjection in Portuguese, and short clips of her voice later circulated widely as memes and WhatsApp audios in Brazil. Fans still reuse it today because the character remains a beloved symbol of Brazilian humour and camp television comedy.

The playful Epaaa shout from Brazilian comedy character Vera Verão, used as a loud, funny greeting or reaction in memes, edits and WhatsApp messages.
This short clip captures Vera Verão bursting out with a long, exaggerated Epaaa, delivered in a high, theatrical voice full of mischief and surprise. The shout rises quickly, stretches the vowel for comic effect, and lands like a flamboyant entrance, instantly grabbing attention before any punchline follows. It feels warm, cheeky and unmistakably Brazilian, turning an ordinary greeting into a moment of pure personality. Listeners recognise it immediately as a playful interruption, a teasing hello, or a dramatic reaction to something unexpected, which is why it works so well at the start of a joke or reveal.
